Snow in Trentino: the winter season starts early

Amongst the peaks of the Dolomites, soul and body reconnect with each other in perfect balance between fun and wellness. Here the cold season enriches the beauty of the landscape with snow providing a natural decoration for celebrating Christmas and New Year.

Trentino has always been a favourite destination for lovers of winter sports. People that choose the Dolomites for a White Week can visit the main slopes of the Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta ski area, the largest of Trentino, seat of prestigious skiing competitions including the World Cup.

Thanks to heavy snowfalls, the 2019-2020 winter season has already started on part of the 150 kilometres of slopes that connect Val di Sole, Val Rendena and the three areas of Folgarida Marilleva, Madonna di Campiglio and Pinzolo, beloved by skiers, snowboarders and riders of all levels.

In particular, the entire ski area of Madonna di Campiglio will be available from 5th December.

And again, other not to be missed experiences for a winter holiday: cross-country skiing, ski mountaineering, sledging, skating and the warm breaks in the alpine huts, such as Chalet Fiat and Chalet Boch, located over 2,000 meters in the heart of the ski area Campiglio and overlooking breathtaking views.

Lastly, the well-known Christmas markets of Rendena Valley, offering handicrafts and tasting of food and wine products from Trentino.
Activities that have become a winter essential tradition, something we feel nostalgic about that invite us to share special moments.

This year’s treat will be the possibility to combine the usual Christmas programme with time for oneself at Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti: Lefay SPA treatments, vital cuisine and the enveloping atmosphere of the Suites to rediscover the most authentic emotions
